Our Commitment
HostVista is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
We also aim to comply with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) requirements for digital services.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA labels and roles for interactive elements
- Keyboard navigation support throughout the application
- Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA standards
- Focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Reduced motion support for users who prefer minimal animation
- Skip-to-content link for keyboard users
- Alt text for meaningful images
- Form labels and error messages associated with their inputs
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of HostVista may not yet be fully accessible:
- Google Maps integration: The embedded maps rely on third-party components that may not be fully accessible. We provide text-based alternatives where possible.
- PDF guide exports: Generated PDF documents may not be fully compatible with all screen readers.
- Third-party content: Some content imported from external sources (e.g., place descriptions, reviews) may not meet all accessibility standards.

Assessment
HostVista assesses the accessibility of our platform through a combination of automated testing tools (axe-core, ESLint accessibility rules) and manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen reader software. We conduct regular audits and address findings as part of our development process.
